Welcome to the real world, this is the nature of the career you are embarking on.

If you all want secure full time jobs well I guess that the national should cut media student places by 92%

A “freelance-only” approach/attitude to employment – post academic studies – is one reason why I decided to halt my studies half way through.

I could not honestly find a valid reason to continue with academic studies, and student debt, if the only outcome would likely be a self-employed freelance job at the end.

Whilst freelance has its place, there is something to be said for the stability of employment in production companies, which are sorely lacking, particularly in Fife.

    Just my 2p. ;)
